Ruthie Moore was a teen in the 1950’s and was photographed repeatedly by Loyd Sandgren.

“Ruthie Moore, a vivacious energetic cute girl that also had a great personality.  She is the only girl that I know of here in Jacksonville that made her living as a full time model.  She worked at Oriental Gardens (a local tourist attraction) and posed for the visitors.  She had many outfits her mother made them for her.  This was before Playboy’s bunnies.  1952” LS

Ruthie graduated from Landon High School in 1953. You might contact the LHS Alumni Assn’s president Reid Tillis @ 704-2252. Another Landon graduate – class of 1952, Sara (Harton) Thom was a model for years with the Ford Modeling Agency in New York City. She was the Cover Girl make up model for one of their ad campaigns in the late 50s.
