I have not figured out if this is an advertising photo for luggage or a portrait of an airline stewardess shot by Loyd Sandgren in his downtown Jacksonville studio. Loyd did not leave any clues with this one. Anyone recognize the logos on the uniform?

If the logo is a world on a wing, then this might be a stewardess for Pan American Airlines. I tried to copy an image here,but I couldn’t get it to work.
Dorothy, I’ve added an enlargement of the lapel pin. I can’t read the writing on it but it appears to be a flag rather than a globe.
It is almost certainly National Airlines, which was headquartered in Jacksonville (at the old Imeson Airport) from 1939 until 1946. Here is a page with a scan of a route map and timetable from that era, showing the logo matching the image on the wing lapel pin:

National Airlines did not appear to have any flights to and from Atlanta, GA. I wonder why?
yes, I recognize this pin, I have one that belonged to my father, Doc Yaus who went to work for National in April of 1939 in St. Petersburg for six weeks, transferred to Imeson in Jax., worked there until Sept. 1953 transferred to Miami and ended his career as liason to Allison Air Force Base in Indianapolis at age 70. I have other pins also, some with diamonds & rubies, etc. and even have some small empty whiskey bottles & olive picks. I remember a lot of the names of the pilots back then but all are probably dead by now, I turned seven just after we had moved to St. Pete. in l939!! My sister & I plan on visiting the National Museum in St. Pete when she next visits me in Tampa.
