Anybody know what happened to the Seahorse?
Update: Ask and you shall receive! My friend Joan Morris in Tallahassee was quick to come up with the information on this photo. Joan was in charge of the photographic collection at the Florida State Archives in Tallahassee for many years and now retired, still volunteers her time there. The location was a casino on Lido Beach in Sarasota, FL which was often used for photo shoots by the Florida Department of Commerce in the 40’s and 50’s. Loyd worked for this agency for a year in 1946 after getting out of the Navy so this would have been from his year traveling around the state before returning to Jacksonville for the rest of his career.
