Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Gator Bowl parade float passing by the old Federal Courthouse building ahead of the December 31, 1955 match up between Auburn and Vanderbilt in the Gator Bowl. Vanderbilt won that one 25 to 13. It was Auburn’s third year in a row to be in the Gator Bowl beating Baylor the year before and loosing to Texas Tech the year before that.
