Just a guess, but this looks like the end windows at the Mt. Vernon Motor Lodge north of Emerson St.
Let me clarify, I’ve only seen it in passing along the street….
It is still there a little North of Emerson Street across Philips Highway just past Hugo’s furniture store. The windows are now boarded up. To see what it looks like now go to the Vintage Jacksonville Facebook page.
Oh yeah, it sure doesn’t look like this anymore. How sad! “Progress” sometimes leaves tons of victims in its wake.
