The location is the Naval Air Reserve Training Unit Hanger NAS Jacksonville. I was stationed there from 1950 to 1960
The other photo showing the F9F cougar jet fighter ,is the same jet in the first photo. notice the id numbers on the tail. They match. It is also a NARTU jet. If it wasa in color ,the stripe on the side would be orange. Also the word Jacksonville indicates it is a plane based in NARTU Jacksonville.
My Dad works at NAS Jax and I’m pretty sure this wouldn’t happen any longer, but a really cool photo though!
I would say you are right. These are different times.
