A Volkswagen Beetle is offloaded to the pier along the Talleyrand docks, most likely headed to Brundage Motors’ dealership in Jacksonville, FL. Brundage was the first importer of the German made autos to Jacksonville in the 1950′s.

The Volkswagen – the only “positive” thing that Hitler ever conceived. As the old saying goes, “even a stopped clock is right twice a day.”
I bought my first VW Beetle at Brundage in 1963, brand new. It was a red sunroof. $1810 total including tax, tag, title and whatever. Great car. Drove it 7 years and 208,000 miles on two different engines.
