This is a portion of a contact sheet from what appears to have been a photographers outing to photograph the burlesque performer Betty Howard during a performance and back stage at an unknown club in Jacksonville. The top left frame shows a group of photographers and in several of the other frames you can see flash heads set up around the stage. There are also other contact sheets showing Howard posing in a studio setting. In the 1950’s Howard billed herself as The Girl Who Has Everything, and showed it off during performances around the country and in Havana, Cuba.
Betty Jane Howard passed away April 13, 2013, at the age of 84 in Pleasantville, NJ.
