Another wonderful frame of sports promoter Jimmy Murdock’s Car, this time with Men’s Wrestling Promotion Signs. 1950’s.  On the corner of Main Street and Beaver Street in downtown Jacksonville.  This would pair nicely with this previously posted image printed large, framed and hung in a special place in your home or office.  Just a thought…

    I remember Thursday nights at the arena with my parents in the 1950’s. I distinctly remember seeing Chief Don Eagle and Billy Two Rivers. Also there was a wrestler known as Baron Leone. The folding chairs were hooked together somehow. Quite a few glass bottles were thrown.
    There was an elderly man who used yo use a hammer to ring the bell. It seems like his name was Jimmy.
