“The Bisbee-Baldwin real estate Co. on the corner of Forsyth & Pearl St. In the background you can see the George Washington Hotel, on the extreme left is the post office. 1955.” LS This downtown Jacksonville building was built in 1951 and is currently on the market for just shy of a million dollars.

Bodybuilding demonstration at the old Jacksonville Beach Bandshell that backed up to the boardwalk on the property next to the lifeguard station. The Quality Suites Oceanfront hotel now occupies that portion of the lot on 1st. Street North. Looks like it packed them in!

No information left behind by Loyd Sandgren but judging from the audience this was a Navy boxing match, probably from the 1940’s. Safe to say this was not the heavyweight division. Looks like they could use a little meat on their bones.
