“The Greyhound Bus Co on Bay Street in the 50’s. Note sign, White waiting room. Upstairs was the black restrooms and waiting room.” LS UPDATE: Thanks to sharp eyed visitors to Vintage Jacksonville who questioned the location attributed to this image by photographer Loyd Sandgren, the information is now updated and corrected. The Lakewood bound City Coach Lines bus picks up its fur shawl wrapped, high heeled passenger in this staged 60’s vintage photograph by Loyd Sandgren. There are a number of photographs in the Sandgren collection shot for the city and Greyhound bus lines from that era in Jacksonville. Different time different fashion.

Great informational signage.

Brumos Motor Cars supplied VW Van for YMCA Camp Immokalee in Keystone Heights, FL. Around 1960. Loyd Sandgren shot quite a bit for Brundage Motors and later Brumos in the late 1950’s and 1960’s.
