Bob Hope In Jacksonville

A very young looking Bob Hope during a visit to Jacksonville around 1950.  The notes with the image indicate it was shot in the Florida Theatre although looking at the image I’m not so sure.  Anyone out there with more information?

Play By Play

In the press box at the Gator Bowl, 1954.  Dick Stratton (seated second from right) was the announcer.  Stratton was a broadcaster in Jacksonville for over 40 years starting in the 1950’s and passed away in 2005 at the age of 78.
